(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Jan 3, 2010) In a week 17 AcksFFL:Baltic battle, Rat Patrol beat a strong Starting Over team by a score of 100.98 to 90.40, silencing a partisan crowd of 71,891.

David Garrard

Rat Patrol were led to their 10.58 point victory by a 24.08 point effort from David Garrard, who got by the Cleveland Browns defense for 202 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 40 rushing yards. They also got help from a 20.70 point effort from Jerome Harrison, who beat the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 127 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 20 receiving yards.

"We made a statement here today," Rat Patrol coach Bob Dolan said.

Starting Over were helped out in a losing cause by a 21.60 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Arizona Cardinals defense for 235 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 2 rushing yards. They also got help from a 19.80 point effort from Thomas Jones, who got by the Cincinnati Bengals defense for 78 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs.

"We got a wake-up call," Starting Over coach Mike Sparacino said.

Compounding the issue, Starting Over could have scored 104.64 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mike Sparacino left key players like Jason Campbell and his corresponding 24.04 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Rat Patrol to 8-6, and drops Starting Over to a record of 7-7.

Welcome to another offseason edition of the Brew Crew Corner. We've passed the deadline of designated franchise players and now each team has anted up for free agency. So far, the Bears have made the biggest splash in free agency landing Julius Peppers and Chester Taylor, while the quarterback free agent market has seen Jake Delhomme sign with Cleveland and LaDainian Tomlinson sign with the Jets.
