The Blast were led to their 29.70 point victory by a 30.40 point effort from Calvin Johnson, who tore apart the Green Bay Packers defense for 244 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Johnson was the number 2 ranked wide receiver for week 17. They also got help from a 22.40 point effort from Aaron Hernandez, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 138 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD in addition to 26 rushing yards.
"This team shows a lot of resiliency," The Blast coach Mike Gustafson said.
Mavericks were helped out in a losing cause by a 33.24 point effort from Eli Manning, who beat the Dallas Cowboys defense for 346 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 14 rushing yards. With this performance, Manning was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 17. They also got help from a 22.80 point effort from Rob Gronkowski, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 108 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs.
"We can still hold our heads high," Mavericks coach Geri Biermann said.
This brings the record for The Blast to 9-5, and drops Mavericks to a record of 10-4.

The Heisman winner, blessed with a power arm, world-class speed and movie star poise, is ticketed for stardom – just maybe not in 2012.
